On another fabulous running day in Death Valley – temperature at the start in the 50s, finish in the 60s – all four Team Ladera entrants placed!
This event has turned into a regular outing, with lots of nature and great running. This year was also a “Super Bloom” – due to unusual amounts of rain in the desert – so great wildflowers were another high point of the DV trip.
Results:
Half Marathon:
Steve Corbato – 1:52:18 3rd out of 14 in M55-59
Chandra Ramamoorthy – 2:02:23 1st out of 5 in F60-64
Mike Roberts – 2:31:04 1st out of 1 in M75-79 (once again, oldest runner in the race!)
Full Marathon:
Eric Meckel – 4:05:42 3rd out of 8 in M25-29
