Mike, Jennifer & Kristen
Under magnificent weather conditions, a strong Team Ladera five member relay turned in an exceptional race and finish. Kristen and Mary sub 9, Jennifer at 10, Mike and Nils sub 11. Not bad for 6000 feet with a team whose average age was 60.
Mary kicked it in in fine style for an overall marathon time of 4:25.

Kristen impressed all by running the first leg of the relay and then continuing on to complete the whole marathon – as “training” for upcoming ultras!

The team effort was backed up by super support from Grace, Lennie and Eric Hamilton. Dropoffs and pickups were executed flawlessly and the entire team assembled with Mary to show Ladera colors and new Team racing T-shirt to the assembled multitude.
It should be noted here that the Abbott/Nilsson/Farley contingent traveled far at own expense to participate. As Chuck would say, a good decision and a good outcome!
